The launch of the Air Force secret spaceship, the X-37B on April 22, 2010 set off a flurry of questions that have derived few answers as of this date. What is it? What is its capability? What is it for? We do know for sure that the X-37B was launched and has been orbiting, even reportedly changing its orbit in late July. But now it has gone missing from tracking satellites. Pictures are available on the Christian Monitor website of the X-37B taken at the time of its launch on April 22, 2010, and this helpful description was provided next to one of the photos: "Deemed as a mini-space shuttle, the totally automated X-37B contains the most advanced technologies in navigation, power and thermal protection. At nearly 30 feet tall, weighing 11,000 pounds, this first reusable unmanned spacecraft will spend an undisclosed period in orbit so that the USAF may test and validate its systems. The spaceplane will then return to earth and land at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California." To view the photos and read more about the launch of the X-37B in April, click here. The questions at hand at this moment are: Is the X-37B returning to an Air Force Base in California, or, has it possibly already secretly landed? For more details, click here. It appears that only a select number of persons are privy to the secrets behind the X-37B spaceship and supposedly what is a second secret spaceship now under construction. There apparently will be more secrets to come, more questions, and likely few answers. But these are all exciting events, to be sure!
